Quinn P. Merrill is a native of Eastern Idaho and joined the firm as an Associate in March 2020. Prior to joining the firm he worked as a Chief Deputy Public Defender in Central Idaho, where he represented both juvenile and adult defendants in multiple phases of the criminal justice process, including arraignments, trials, and various hearings.
Mr. Merrill graduated from Brigham Young University Law School where he served as a Submissions Editor for the Education and Law Journal. During law school, he served as a legal extern in the Provo City Attorney's Office and later in the Utah Supreme Court for the Honorable Justice John A. Pearce. Additionally, he worked as a compliance intern for BYU Athletics. Mr. Merrill also received the Excellence in Legal Writing Award from the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association while attending law school. Upon graduating, Mr. Merrill began work as a Legal Research Attorney for a large multinational corporation, where he trained and consulted attorneys for some of the largest law firms in the Pacific Northwest before returning to Idaho to practice law.
Outside of the office and the courtroom, Mr. Merrill enjoys outdoor recreation, reading, sports, and spending time with his wife and family.
