William S. Holden

William Sutherland Holden was admitted to the Bar in 1933. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington, where he was Student Body President. He received his LLB degree from George Washington University Law School in 1932. Bill was an Idaho State Senator from 1939 through 1940. He was Chairman of the Idaho Advisory Committee to the Commission on Civil Rights from 1959 through 1962. Bill was the representative for the State of Idaho on the Attorney General’s Conference on Court Congestion and Delay in Litigation from 1959 through 1974. He was Chairman of the Western States Water Council from 1969 through 1971. Bill served as Special Assistant to the Governor for water resources from 1965 through 1971. He was Idaho Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of the Pacific Northwest River Basin Commission from 1967 through 1971. He was a member of the American Bar Association, Idaho State Bar, and a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation, the American College of Probate Council, and the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Holden died in 1988.
